I feel honored to write about my experience of surviving and healing. I hope it gives hope to others that life does get better, that is is possible to heal. I’ve had my dark days, but I present in my days full of light and joy.

I recently wrote an article titled, Yoga Liberated Me From The Shame of Rape for Elephant Journal and I am proud to say I liberated from my shame. I encourage you to read it. This piece is straight from my heart and it has taken me years to get where I am and I will honest and say I am proud of my journey of healing and liberation.

My yoga practice is a journey that will continue through my life. It keeps me grounded, keeps me inspired and allows me to grow into the person I am meant to be. Every time I am on my mat I feel love. I dare you to discover the person you really are.

Yoga liberated me, but not for the reasons you may think, and for that I am grateful.
